FAQ

Q: Why can't I upload my image?

A: Check your image file size is under 2MB and in a supported format (JPG, PNG, GIF). If it still won't upload, try refreshing your browser.

Q: How do I make my images load faster?

A: Compress your images before uploading to reduce file size. WordPress also automatically creates smaller versions for different screen sizes.

Q: Can I edit images after uploading them?

A: WordPress has basic editing tools - click on an image in your Media Library and select "Edit Image" to crop, rotate, or resize.

Q: What is alt text and do I need it?

A: Alt text describes your image for screen readers and search engines. Always add alt text that describes what's in the image.

Q: How do I delete images from my website?

A: Go to Media Library, hover over the image, and click "Delete Permanently". Warning: this removes it from all posts and pages using that image.

Q: Can I upload videos directly to WordPress?

A: Yes, but video files are large and slow down your site. Consider using YouTube or Vimeo and embedding the video instead.

Q: Why is my image blurry or pixelated?

A: The original image resolution is too low. Upload a higher quality image, ideally at least 1200 pixels wide for full-width images.
