This Privacy Policy explains how SmartHost Web Services Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of Web60, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data in compliance with GDPR and Irish data protection law.

2. What Data We Collect

Account information

• Name and email address
• Password (hashed; never stored in plain text)
• Site name and domain preferences

Payment information

• Processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• We retain a Stripe customer ID and last four digits for reference.

Website content

• All content you upload is stored on our infrastructure in Ireland.

Technical data

• IP address, browser type, device information.
• Server logs for security and troubleshooting.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send transactional emails.
• To provide customer support.
• To monitor service health and security.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract: Processing necessary to deliver the Service.
• Legitimate interest: Monitoring, security, fraud prevention.
• Consent: Marketing communications (opt-out anytime).
• Legal obligation: Billing records required by Irish tax law.

5. Third Parties

• Stripe — payment processing only.

All third-party processing is governed by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

6. Data Storage and Location

All data is stored on SmartHost Web Services Limited infrastructure in Ireland. Your data never leaves Ireland unless you configure third-party services that operate elsewhere.

7. Data Retention

• Active accounts: Duration of subscription.
• After cancellation: Files deleted within 30 days.
• Billing records: 12 months post-cancellation (tax law).
• Demo sites: Deleted after 24 hours if not converted.
• Server logs: 90 days.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Rectify inaccurate data.
• Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Port your data in machine-readable format.
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

9. How to Request Deletion

Email hello@web60.ie from your account email. Deletion confirmed within 30 days. Billing records may be retained for 12 months as required by law.

10. Cookies

We use three categories of cookies:

• Necessary: Essential cookies for site functionality (always active).
• Analytics: Privacy-friendly usage statistics via Plausible Analytics, self-hosted in Ireland (opt-in).
• Marketing: Reserved for future use; none currently active (opt-in).

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18.
