How to Customise Your AI-Generated Website

Building Your Website4 min read·

This article shows you how to customise your AI-generated website after Web60 has created it for you.

Step 1: Access Your Website Dashboard

Log into your Web60 control panel and click "WordPress Admin" next to your website. This opens your WordPress dashboard - the control centre for your website.

You'll see a menu on the left side. This is where you'll make all your changes.

Step 2: Edit Your Website Content

To change text on any page:

  1. Click "Pages" in the left menu
  2. Find the page you want to edit (like "Home" or "About")
  3. Click the page title
  4. Make your changes in the text editor
  5. Click "Update" when finished

The text editor works like Microsoft Word. You can make text bold, add bullet points, and insert links.

Step 3: Replace Images

To change a photo or image:

  1. Click on the image you want to replace
  2. Select "Replace" from the options that appear
  3. Choose "Upload" to add your own image
  4. Select your new image file
  5. Click "Update" to save

Your images should be under 1MB in size. Common formats like JPG and PNG work best.

Step 4: Change Colours and Fonts

To modify your website's appearance:

  1. Click "Appearance" then "Customize" in the left menu
  2. Click "Colors" to change your colour scheme
  3. Click "Typography" to change fonts
  4. Preview your changes in the right panel
  5. Click "Publish" when you're happy with the look

Step 5: Add New Pages

To create additional pages:

  1. Click "Pages" then "Add New"
  2. Enter your page title at the top
  3. Add your content in the main text area
  4. Click "Publish" when ready

New pages won't automatically appear in your menu. You'll need to add them manually through "Appearance" > "Menus".

Step 6: Modify Your Menu

To change what appears in your website navigation:

  1. Go to "Appearance" > "Menus"
  2. Select your main menu from the dropdown
  3. Add pages by ticking boxes on the left
  4. Drag items to reorder them
  5. Click "Save Menu"

Step 7: Update Your Contact Information

Replace the placeholder contact details with your real information:

  1. Edit your "Contact" page following Step 2 above
  2. Update your business address, phone number, and email
  3. If you have a contact form, test it by sending yourself a message

If you're still stuck with any of these steps, contact Web60 support through your control panel. Include details about what you're trying to change and where you're getting stuck.
