Free Website Health Check
Check SSL, HTTPS, response time, mobile-friendliness and robots.txt for any website.
What Does a Website Health Check Test?
A healthy website is secure, fast, mobile-friendly, and visible to search engines. Our health check runs six independent tests that cover the most common issues affecting Irish business websites. Each test runs in parallel for fast results.
SSL Certificate
SSL encrypts data between your visitor's browser and your server. Without it, browsers display “Not Secure” warnings and Google penalises your rankings. We check that your certificate is valid and not approaching expiry.
HTTPS Redirect
Even with SSL installed, visitors who type your domain without “https://” will land on the insecure version unless a redirect is configured. We test that HTTP traffic is automatically redirected to HTTPS.
Server Response Time (TTFB)
Time to First Byte measures how quickly your server responds to a request. A slow TTFB indicates server-side issues — overloaded hosting, unoptimised databases, or distant server locations. Target: under 800ms.
Mobile-Friendliness
Over 60% of web traffic in Ireland comes from mobile devices. We check for the viewport meta tag — the essential HTML element that tells browsers to render your site at the correct mobile width instead of a zoomed-out desktop view.
robots.txt
The robots.txt file tells search engine crawlers which pages to index and which to ignore. A missing file means search engines may crawl everything (including admin pages), while an overly restrictive file can block your content from appearing in search results entirely.
Site Reachability
We verify your site returns an HTTP 200 (OK) status code, confirming it is live and accessible. Non-200 responses — like 403 (forbidden), 500 (server error), or timeouts — indicate hosting issues that need immediate attention.
