Getting Started4 min read·

This article explains how to use your Web60 portal to manage your WordPress website.

Logging Into Your Portal

You'll receive login details in your welcome email after signing up. Go to portal.web60.ie and enter your email address and password. If you can't find your login details, check your spam folder first.

Main Dashboard Overview

Once logged in, you'll see your main dashboard with these sections:

Website Status: Shows if your site is online or offline Storage Usage: Displays how much space your website files are using Recent Backups: Lists your automatic daily backups Quick Actions: Buttons for common tasks

Accessing Your WordPress Site

To log into WordPress and edit your website:

  1. Click "Access WordPress" on your dashboard
  2. This opens WordPress in a new tab
  3. You're automatically logged in as the administrator
  4. From here you can add pages, posts, and change your site's appearance

Managing Files with File Manager

The File Manager lets you upload images, documents, or other files directly:

  1. Click "File Manager" in your portal
  2. Navigate to the "public_html" folder
  3. This contains all your website files
  4. Use "Upload" to add new files
  5. Right-click files to delete, rename, or move them

Be careful not to delete WordPress system files (they usually start with "wp-").

Viewing Your Backups

Web60 creates automatic backups of your site every day:

  1. Go to the "Backups" section
  2. You'll see a list of available backup dates
  3. Click "Restore" next to any backup to revert your site
  4. Click "Download" to save a backup to your computer

Backups include your website files and database (posts, pages, settings).

Email Accounts Setup

To create email addresses for your domain:

  1. Click "Email Accounts" in your portal
  2. Enter the email address you want (e.g., info@yourdomain.ie)
  3. Set a password
  4. Choose the storage limit
  5. Click "Create Account"

You can then access email through the webmail link or set it up on your phone/computer.

Viewing Site Statistics

The "Statistics" section shows:

  • How many people visited your site
  • Which pages they viewed most
  • Where visitors came from (Google, social media, etc.)
  • Bandwidth usage

This information updates daily and helps you understand your website's performance.

If you're still stuck or can't find what you're looking for, contact Web60 support through the "Support" tab in your portal or email hello@web60.ie.
