Understanding Web60 plan limits and fair use

Getting Started3 min read·

This article explains what is included in your Web60 plan, what the limits are, and how the fair use policy works.

One website per plan

Each Web60 plan includes one website. If you need to host a second website, you will need a separate plan. There is no multi-site option on a single plan.

Domain name

One .ie or .com domain is included with your plan. If you need additional domains (for example, both the .ie and .com versions of your business name), these can be added at standard pricing. Contact Web60 for details.

Bandwidth

Bandwidth is unmetered. There is no fixed monthly data transfer cap. This means you do not need to worry about your site going offline because you had a busy month. The fair use policy described below applies.

Backups

Your plan includes 30 days of automated daily backups. You can also create manual backups at any time. Both automated and manual backups are retained for 30 days from their creation date.

Email

Email hosting is not included in your Web60 plan. Web60 will set up DNS records (MX, SPF, DMARC) for your chosen third-party email provider at no extra cost. Most customers use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.

Fair use policy

Web60 plans are designed for small and medium business websites. This typically means sites with under 50,000 monthly visits. The vast majority of SME websites fall well within this range.

The fair use policy exists to make sure one site does not consume resources in a way that affects other customers on the platform. Normal business website activity is always fine. This includes pages with text, images, contact forms, galleries, blog posts, and standard WordPress plugins.

What might exceed fair use

  • Websites with consistently high traffic well above 50,000 monthly visits
  • WooCommerce stores processing thousands of orders per month
  • Membership or subscription platforms with heavy database usage
  • Sites running resource-intensive plugins that consume excessive server CPU or memory
  • File hosting or download sites serving large files repeatedly

What happens if you exceed fair use

Web60 will contact you to discuss your usage. Your site will not be taken offline without warning. In most cases, the team will work with you to find an arrangement that suits your needs.

If you are unsure

If you are planning a website that might fall outside typical small business usage, contact Web60 before signing up. The team can advise whether the platform is the right fit or if you need a different hosting arrangement.
