How to Request a Refund

Billing & Account3 min read·

This article explains how to request a refund from Web60 and what to expect during the process.

Check Your Refund Eligibility

Before requesting a refund, check if your account qualifies:

  1. Log into your Web60 account using the login details sent to your email when you signed up
  2. Go to the Billing section - look for a menu item called "Billing" or "Account"
  3. Check your purchase date - refunds are only available within 30 days of your initial payment
  4. Review your usage - accounts that have been heavily used for spam or illegal content may not qualify

Refunds apply only to hosting fees. Domain name registrations cannot be refunded once processed.

Submit Your Refund Request

Contact Web60 support to start the refund process:

  1. Email hello@web60.ie from the email address linked to your account
  2. Include your account details: your domain name and the email address used for registration
  3. State clearly that you want a refund and briefly explain why (optional but helpful)
  4. Mention any technical issues if they contributed to your decision to leave

You can also submit a support ticket through your Web60 account dashboard if you prefer.

What Happens Next

Response time: Support will respond within 24 hours on business days.

Processing time: Approved refunds take 3-5 business days to appear in your bank account or on your card statement.

Account access: Your website will remain active until the end of your current billing period, even after requesting a refund. This gives you time to move your site elsewhere.

Backup your data: Download your website files and database before your account expires. Web60 cannot guarantee data recovery after account closure.

After Your Refund

Once processed, you'll receive an email confirmation with the refund amount and expected timeline.

Your website will stop working when your account expires. If you're moving to another host, make sure to:

  • Transfer your domain name to your new provider
  • Upload your website backup to the new hosting account
  • Update your domain's nameservers to point to the new host

If you're still stuck, contact Web60 support at hello@web60.ie or through your account dashboard. Include your account email and domain name for faster assistance.
