What to expect on the day

Web60 Academy2 min read·

Academy sessions are live, interactive, and designed to be practical. Here is what to expect when you attend.

Before the session

Make sure you have:

  • Zoom installed on your computer. You can download it from zoom.us.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • Your Web60 portal open in a browser tab (if you have a Web60 account). This lets you follow along with the trainer in real time.

You will receive the Zoom link and password by email when you book, and again in your reminder emails (24 hours and 1 hour before the session).

How the session runs

Each session has two parts:

Part one — structured training (1 hour)

The trainer walks through the session topics step by step. You can follow along on your own site or just watch. The pace is designed for beginners, but there is plenty of useful detail for experienced users too.

Part two — open Q&A (up to 1 hour)

After the training, the session opens up for questions. You can:

  • Ask anything related to the session topic or your own site.
  • Share your screen so the trainer can see exactly what you are working on.
  • Get personalised advice on your specific situation.

The Q&A continues for as long as there are questions, up to one hour.

Tips for getting the most out of it

  • Have your site open. Following along in real time helps things stick.
  • Prepare a question. If there is something specific you want help with, have it ready for the Q&A.
  • Take notes. The sessions are live only with no recordings, so jot down anything important.

After the session

There is nothing you need to do after the session. If you have follow-up questions, you can email us at hello@web60.ie or visit our support page.
