This article explains how to update your payment method for your Web60 hosting account.
Accessing Your Account
- Go to the Web60 customer portal at portal.web60.ie
- Enter your email address and password
- Click "Sign In"
If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password" and check your email for reset instructions.
Finding Your Billing Settings
- Once logged in, look for "Billing" or "Account" in the main menu
- Click on "Payment Methods" or "Billing Information"
- You'll see your current payment method listed here
Adding a New Payment Method
- Click "Add New Payment Method" or the "+" button
- Choose your payment type (credit card or debit card)
- Enter your card details:
- Card number (the long number on the front)
- Expiry date (month and year)
- CVV code (3-digit number on the back)
- Cardholder name (exactly as it appears on the card)
- Add your billing address:
- Street address
- City
- County
- Eircode (postal code)
- Country (Ireland)
- Click "Save" or "Add Card"
Setting Your New Card as Default
- Find your newly added card in the payment methods list
- Look for "Make Default" or "Set as Primary" next to the card
- Click this option
- Your new card is now set as the default payment method
Removing Old Payment Methods
- Find the old card you want to remove
- Click "Delete" or the trash bin icon next to it
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Note: You cannot delete a payment method if it's set as your default. Change your default first, then delete the old card.
Verifying the Change
- Check that your new card shows as "Default" or "Primary"
- Look for a green tick or "Active" status
- Your next bill will use this new payment method
When Changes Take Effect
Payment method changes are immediate. Your next billing cycle will automatically use the new card. If your account renews today, the old payment method may still be charged.
Billing Address Requirements
Your billing address must match the address registered with your bank for the card. Mismatched addresses can cause payment failures.
If you're still stuck or get error messages when updating your payment method, contact Web60 support through the help section in your customer portal.
