Web60 takes care of backing up your website automatically, so you never have to worry about losing your work. Here is exactly when and how often backups happen.
Automatic nightly backups
Every night, Web60 creates a complete backup of your website. This happens automatically. You do not need to be logged in, and you do not need to do anything. The backup runs on our servers during the night, outside of busy hours.
Each nightly backup includes everything: your pages, images, uploaded files, and the database that powers your website.
How long are daily backups kept?
Daily backups are kept for 7 days. Each night a new backup is created, and the oldest one (from 8 days ago) is automatically removed. This means you always have a full week of daily backups to choose from.
Weekly backups
On top of the daily backups, Web60 also creates a weekly backup every Sunday. These weekly backups are kept separately and stored for longer than the daily ones, giving you an extra safety net.
Manual backups
You can also create a backup yourself whenever you like, for example before making changes to your website. You are allowed one manual backup per 24-hour period, and it is created on top of the automatic schedule.
