How to Set Up Billing Alerts

Billing & Account4 min read·

This article shows you how to set up billing alerts in your Web60 account to get notified about payments and subscription changes.

Step 1: Log into Your Web60 Portal

Go to the Web60 website and click "Login" at the top of the page. Enter your email address and password. If you can't remember your password, click "Forgot Password" to reset it.

Once logged in, you'll see your Web60 Portal dashboard. This is where you manage your account and website settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Billing Settings

Look for "Billing" or "Account Settings" in your portal menu. This is usually in the left sidebar or top navigation. Click on it to open your billing area.

You'll see information about your current subscription and payment method. Look for a section called "Notifications" or "Alert Preferences" - this might be under a "Settings" tab within the billing area.

Step 3: Choose Your Alert Types

Web60 can send you several types of billing alerts:

Payment Reminders: Get notified 7 days before your subscription renews. This helps you prepare for the upcoming charge.

Failed Payment Alerts: Get immediate notification if your payment method fails. This lets you update your card details quickly to avoid service interruption.

Invoice Notifications: Receive a copy of your invoice by email each time you're charged.

Subscription Changes: Get notified when your plan changes or when you add new services.

Tick the boxes next to the alerts you want to receive. Most customers find payment reminders and failed payment alerts most useful.

Step 4: Set Your Email Address

Make sure the email address shown is correct and one you check regularly. If you need to change it, you can update your account email address first.

Some customers prefer to use their business email address for billing notifications, even if they use a personal email for logging in.

Step 5: Choose Alert Timing

For payment reminders, you can usually choose when to receive them:

  • 14 days before renewal
  • 7 days before renewal (most common)
  • 3 days before renewal
  • 1 day before renewal

Choose the timing that works best for your business. If you need time to arrange funds or update payment methods, pick 7 or 14 days.

Step 6: Save Your Settings

Click "Save" or "Update Preferences" to confirm your choices. You should see a message confirming your alert settings have been updated.

Test your settings by clicking "Send Test Alert" if this option is available. This sends a sample notification to make sure emails are reaching you.

Managing Alert Frequency

If you have multiple websites with Web60, you can set different alert preferences for each one. Look for a dropdown menu to select which website's billing alerts you're configuring.

You can also choose whether to receive alerts for automatic renewals only, or for all billing activity including manual payments and refunds.

If you're still stuck setting up billing alerts or not receiving notification emails, contact Web60 support through your portal or by email.
