Your WordPress editor is where you manage your website content, including pages, posts, images, and more. The correct way to access it is always through your Web60 dashboard. This keeps things simple and secure.
The right way to access your WordPress editor
Follow these steps every time you want to edit your website:
- Sign in to your Web60 dashboard at app.web60.ie/login.
- Click "My Website" in the sidebar on the left.
- Click "Open WordPress" (you may also see this labelled as "WP Admin").
You will be taken straight into your WordPress editor, already logged in. There is no need to enter a separate username or password.
If "Open WordPress" is not working
If clicking the button does not take you to your WordPress editor, or you see an error, try the following:
Clear your browser cache
Old stored data in your browser can sometimes cause problems.
- Open your browser settings.
- Find the option to clear browsing data or clear cache.
- Clear it, then close and reopen your browser.
- Sign in to your Web60 dashboard again and try "Open WordPress".
Try a different browser
If clearing the cache does not help, try using a different browser altogether. If you normally use Chrome, try Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Check your site status
Your WordPress editor will only work when your website is active.
- Sign in to your Web60 dashboard.
- Look at your website's status. It should say Active.
- If it shows any other status, your site may need attention before you can access the editor.
Open a private or incognito window
A private window starts fresh without any stored data.
- Chrome or Edge: Press Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Command+Shift+N (Mac).
- Firefox: Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Command+Shift+P (Mac).
- Safari: Go to File, then New Private Window.
Sign in to your Web60 dashboard from the private window and try again.
Important: Do not go directly to your WordPress editor
You should never try to access your WordPress editor by typing an address into your browser. Always go through your Web60 dashboard instead. This is because:
- You are logged in automatically, so there are no extra passwords to remember.
- It is more secure because your login is handled safely through the dashboard.
- It always works, whereas direct access may be blocked for security reasons.
If you have been trying to go to your WordPress editor directly, this is likely the cause of your problem. Switch to using the dashboard method described above.

Frequently asked questions
Why should I always access my WordPress editor through my Web60 dashboard?
When you go through your Web60 dashboard, you are logged in to your WordPress editor automatically. This is more secure and means you do not need to remember a separate password.
Can I go directly to my WordPress editor without using the dashboard?
We strongly recommend always going through your Web60 dashboard. Direct access is not supported and may not work correctly. If you go through the dashboard, you will be logged in automatically every time.
What do I do if the Open WordPress button is not responding?
Try clearing your browser cache or opening the dashboard in a private browsing window. If it still does not work, check that your site status shows as Active. If the problem continues, contact Web60 support.
