Can I add an online shop to my Web60 site?

Yes, you can add an online shop to any Web60 website. WooCommerce is a free WordPress plugin that turns your site into a fully functional online store, and it works perfectly on Web60. Whether you built your site with the Web60 Site Builder or set up WordPress manually, you can start selling products or services online.

Installing WooCommerce

Sign in to your WordPress dashboard (click Open WordPress from your Web60 dashboard)
Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin
Search for WooCommerce
Click Install Now, then click Activate

WooCommerce will launch a setup wizard to guide you through the initial configuration.

Running the setup wizard

The WooCommerce setup wizard walks you through the basics:

Store details — enter your business address and the country you sell in (Ireland)
Industry — select what type of products or services you sell
Product types — choose whether you sell physical products, digital downloads, or services
Business details — answer a few questions about the size of your shop

You can skip any step and come back to it later if you prefer.

Adding your first product

Go to Products > Add New
Enter a product name and description
Set the price in the Product data section
Add a product image by clicking Set product image
Choose a product category to help organise your shop
Click Publish to make the product live

Repeat this for each product you want to sell. You can add as many products as you need.

Pages WooCommerce creates for you

When you install WooCommerce, it automatically creates several important pages:

Shop — displays all your products
Cart — where customers review items before buying
Checkout — where customers enter payment and delivery details
My Account — where customers can log in to view their orders

You do not need to create these pages yourself. WooCommerce handles them for you.

Setting up payment gateways

To accept payments, you need to connect a payment gateway. The two most popular options are:

Stripe — accepts credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Set up at stripe.com.
PayPal — widely trusted and easy to configure. Set up at paypal.com.

You can configure payment gateways in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your account.
